In 1951, before the i.7 had even entered service, the OWAF recognised that technology was progressing at such a pace, that at least in terms of performance, the i.7 would be outdated within 5 years. In response to this the OWAF drew up a requirement for a new supersonic interceptor, from which the Cavalier was born.

Although not as fast as envisioned, and suffering from very noticable control compression at high speeds, the i.11 offered world leading performance when it entered service in 1957, boasting an unmatched climb rate and upgraded missiles over its competitors. It remained in service in various roles until 1973.

I really enjoy this era of aircraft, I had a blast putting this one together for the challenge and generally procrastinating the actual work I have to do.
I took inspiration from the BAC Lightning (pretty blatently), the F-111, the F-5, the F4D Skyray and the MiG-21

Thanks for checking this out and happy flying!
