Sukhoi T-60S

"when Russians found out about lifting bodies"

The Sukhoi T-60S is a master class in late-Cold War "brute force" engineering, presenting a predatory, wide-profile lifting body that bridges the gap between a high-speed interceptor and a long-range strike platform. Its visual identity is defined by a massive, dead-flat underbelly and top-mounted engine nacelles, a configuration meticulously chosen to shield the most radar-reflective components from ground-based detection during high-altitude penetration. The broad, blended fuselage provides immense aerodynamic lift, supporting a heavy internal arsenal of long-range cruise missiles or high-speed interceptor rounds without the drag of external pylons. With its side-by-side armored cockpit and wings that sweep back into a needle-like supersonic profile, the aircraft looks less like a traditional bomber and more like a colossal, strategic sniper designed to loiter at the edges of the iron curtain.

The history of this machine is a ghost story of the Soviet collapse; a single flight-capable prototype was reportedly completed in the late 1980s, serving as the crowning achievement of the Sukhoi bureau’s ambitious T-60S program. During its brief testing phase, the aircraft stunned observers by meeting or exceeding nearly every benchmark for speed, range, and lifting capacity, proving that a super heavy hybrid could indeed perform with the grace of a much lighter fighter. However, as the Soviet Union fractured and the ruble plummeted, the astronomical cost of maintaining such a complex "swing-wing" fleet became an impossibility. In a final, unceremonious act of pragmatism, the sole prototype, a vehicle that technically outperformed the Tu-22M3 and Su-24 combined, it was ordered to be dismantled for scrap in the mid-1990s, its classified blueprints buried in the archives to make way for the more affordable and versatile Su-34.

@Pakdaaircraftindustries thanks, also I'm not disqualified right? those are wing thickeners/roots where the swing wing and bays hide not decorative.
