Lore

In the 1980s, passenger aviation developed rapidly. To transport large numbers of passengers, larger aircraft were required. Airlines needed high- and ultra-high-capacity airliners. Several aircraft manufacturing corporations from different countries have begun developing such aircraft. Aoishi was one such corporation. Having enormous production capacity, Aoishi leaders decided to develop two projects at once - the Model 390, capable of carrying up to 550 passengers, and the extremely ambitious Model 590 for 1800-2000 passengers. And if the Model 390 was brought to mass production in just 5 years and for a long time became the most popular aircraft in its class, then the Model 590 faced a much more difficult fate. It was the first aircraft in the world whose maximum take-off weight exceeded 1000 tons, and whose length and wingspan were more than 100 meters. The world's most powerful Miokura Dynamics ME-50-3ER engines with a thrust of an incredible 53.3 tons were created especially for this aircraft, and with such power they were extremely economical. These engines alone took more than 10 years to develop. The plane itself made its first flight 15 years after the start of development. The Model 590 turned out to be a very complex, expensive, but extremely technically advanced aircraft. Several major airlines have ordered the Model 590 for use on the longest and busiest routes. The Model 590 proved to be very economical and safe. Orders for it were constantly coming in and increasing. Wright Cargo Airlines even commissioned development of a cargo version of the Model 590, which was completed in 2005. Currently, the Aoishi Model 590 remains one of the three giant aircraft in commercial service, along with the Volotok VC-900 and Zxe ZRKA 900.
