This version of the M-38 differs greatly from other variants of the M-38, as it uses a regular delta wing design, a bubble canopy, and most importantly, the M-40's avionics, and E.R.B (Electronic Radar Block) systems, meaning that it has artificially produced stealth. It also has an upgraded engine, cooling systems and fuel efficiency, allowing it to keep afterburner on for longer
