About This Bomber...
The second swept wing bomber in the world (it's relevant?), and developed to compete with the failded YB-60. First flight in 1952, Built to carry nuclear weapons for Cold War–era deterrence missions, the B-52 Stratofortress replaced the Convair B-36 Peacemaker. A veteran of several wars, the B-52 has dropped only conventional munitions in combat. Read More...!!
The B-52G was built at Boeing's Wichita plant. The G-model incorporated numerous improvements in avionics, fuel system, and flight controls, as well as a shorter vertical fin. The B-52 was delivered to the U.S. Air Force in October 1960 and spent its entire service life with the Strategic Air Command. It was one of 110 B-52Gs that saw combat during the Vietnam War as part of Operation Bullet Shot/Linebacker. When it was retired in 1991, it had accumulated 15,305 hours of flight time. It was demilitarized under the terms of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) in August 1992. Source: The Museum of Flight, edited by our script writer.
Waepons:
There is equiped with 21x Mark 82 "Dumb" Bombs and 700x Unknown Bombs which are very damaging. It also equiped with flares to evades enemy missiles. But, it wasn't have tail turret, sorry.
