The NTDA CP73 is an Aleuztian personal defence weapon (PDW) designed and manufactured by NirvashTec Defense and Armaments (NTDA) and chambered for the Caseless 4.73x25mm cartridge.
It was designed with a downsized 4.73 from the G11 to meet Aleuztian DoD requirements published in 1984, as these requirements call for a personal defense weapon (PDW) class firearm, with a greater ability to penetrate body armor than current weapons limited to conventional pistol cartridges.
The CP73 went into production in 1992. The weapon has been revised since its introduction and the latest production variants are the CP73A1, CP73A2 and the ECP-73X - an experimental version firing the 4.73x33mm Cartridge.
