Sure, this airplane may look a little funny (such as the huge landing gear- I used it because it was lighter than any of the aircraft landing gear!), but it is actually one of the most incredible aircraft I have made so far! I designed this aircraft while doing the six in-game challenges. The secret is the variable pitch prop, controlled by VTOL. Leave VTOL neutral, throttle the engine all the way, and once the engine revs up, quickly throw VTOL all the way up to go forward and the plane will leap off the ground! This plane can do five of the six challenges without a problem! It can also taxi in reverse, and reversing the prop in flight (when done carefully!) is a great airbrake and works very well for landing on carriers, inside of volcanoes, etc. You can see it in action here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIcNUriZA9I I design it in the video; just fast forward to about 5 minutes in to see the start.
