This is my attempt at making a VTOL aircraft. It turned out OK but it could probably be worked on. How to take off: Activate group 1 for the gyroscope and throttle up. Once you are in the air, slowly transition to forward flight by moving the VTOL control forward and retract the landing gear. Then deactivate group 1 to fly without the gyroscope (trust me, flying with the gyroscope on is annoyimg because it always recenters the aircraft.)
