X/A-20 “Thunderhead” – NGCAS

Built to succeed the A-10 Warthog in name only, the XA-20 Thunderhead is a smaller, faster, stealthier, and far deadlier close air support prototype. It fuses brute kinetic firepower with nuclear-grade power and next-gen energy weapons to dominate the modern battlefield.

Powered by a twin-drive system—a high-efficiency jet turbine paired with a miniaturized nuclear reactor—the Thunderhead boosts performance using redirected reactor heat while producing up to 1.9 MW to run its high-energy weapon systems.

Primary armament includes a railgun capable of launching 180–300mm explosive warheads at 38,000 ft/s, capable of obliterating tanks, ships, and hardened targets with zero arc and near-instant impact.

Its secondary weapon is a continuous-beam infrared energy system for anti-air dominance. With no lead time and light-speed contact, it can melt airborne targets from up to 15 miles away, provided the pilot can hold aim.

The aircraft is built from titanium, carbon fiber, and tungsten-reinforced composites for strength and durability. The sealed cockpit pod, lined with tungsten and protected by a full-surround sensor-array canopy replacement, gives pilots a 180° 16K synthetic view with real-time AR battlefield data.

Carrier- and land-launch capable, the XA-20 can loiter indefinitely on nuclear power alone. Though not yet production-ready, it is fully combat-capable and purpose-built for contested zones where legacy aircraft cannot operate.

OK now on a serious note, I saved this gun in my parts a long time ago. It was like two or three years ago and I don’t remember who made it!! if someone could help me figure out who made it so I can credit them that would make me feel so much better!!
