LS-13 was made to be cheap and reliable commercial jet. It was cheap but... ...It wasn't that reliable it was quite usual that it kind of exploded at landings because of poor suspension at landing gear. LS-13 got it's name from all of those countles times when it dove to the ocean because of thecnical failure. Total of 30 test pilots were injured. Vtol to control the landing gear
