A ship from the anime High School Fleet (Haifuri/Hai-furi) the Sarushima was an Independence-class LCS (Littoral Combat Ship). Before the ship's sinking by the student ship Harekaze (WW2 Destroyer of the Kagero class also, spoilers right there) it was used as an instructor ship for the training of high school girls to become Blue Mermaids (The students would typically train on old WW2 ships modernized for a class of 30 to easily operate) the red markings indicate it is from Yokosuka Girl's Marine Highschool along with the "Y" in its designation number, that "Y" standing for "Yokosuka".
