Auto Credit Based on mikoyanster's Advanced Jet Trainer Challenge [FINISHED]

Ok. I went a little crazy...

Whilst sick with fever yesterday, I was a little preoccupied with the concept of "what if the Fleet Air Arm invested in fleet carriers in the 70's and 80's? What if they then saw a need for a swing wing fighter? What if the F-14 was that fighter? What if they then needed a fighter trainer to train the aircrew for such a beast? What would that look like?"

I then came up with this.

It doesn't even have a name - I just came up with the tag line;

"it ain't worth a thing if the wings don't swing"

Yeah - this is basically the product of a feverish dream...

Anyway.

Yeah - it is a little over the maximum weight for the competition. It also has slightly scary slow speed flight characteristics. Less "Lead Sled" and more "Aluminium Frisbee", if you will. Also, the AI struggles to fly it well so it will be swatted out of the sky by pretty much everything else in the contest.

Simply put - this thing isn't winning any prizes.

I do think it looks cool, though.

The controls are as follows;

AG1 + VTOL up drops landing flaps
AG2 + VTOL up lowers the hook
AG3 turns on the lights

The variable geometry wings are a wee bit more complex. They are tied to the throttle. Open the taps and the wings retract. Close the taps and the wings open up. This can be controlled, however. What you need to do is to set the throttle to the desired position (so that the wings are where you want them to be) then deactivate AG8. This isolates the wings from the throttle position.

This is handy for landing, where you need throttle to control the attitude, but also want maximum wing extension to maximise lift.

Have fun, and please let me know what you think?

Oh, and I completely understand if this entry to the competition is disqualified.

    @mikoyanster the original one is a successor. The v2 is simply to stop it shooting itself down with its own guns. Really its up to you if you accept it or not.
