All you do is make a autogyro
The ranking:
how good it looks
how well it flys
and if it does/has something special (such as two types of enigines)
The rewards:
First place gets 8 upvotes and 5 spotlights
second place gets 5 upvotes and 3 spotlights
third place gets 3 upvotes and 1 spotlight and everyone gets 1 upvote.
The rules:
minimum part count of 80-100
maximum part count of 1250
you can only make 1 submission (with the exception if you want to fix a previous submissionand
and it must be a successor

I get your point too. A true autogyro needs to by able to fly with the many rotor unpowered and many so-called autogyros posted on SP don't do that.

@FirstFish83828 hey buddy, I have made one to boost this challenge. I made a 1940s-era autogyro, I will post this weekend after adding the livery
@atgxtg yes, you are right. Later auto gyros add the power to the main for vertical takeoff (as a conventional helicopters) . I was emphasizing about the gyro principle

Fair enough. It's just that I doubt you're going to get more entries. No love for autogryos. :(

@atgxtg I extended the deadline but if a person makes more than one entry it complicates the ranking. If a person got 1st and 2nd it may seem unfair. I stopped letting people do more than one a few challenges back as people started to build multiple low quality builds rather then one good one because they wanted more upvotes.

With only 3 entries maybe you should extend the deadline, and maybe lift the one entry per person limit? Not a lot of people build autogryos here.

What about autogyros that have a pre-rotator? They would have a powered rotor but not power it during flight.
FirstFish83828 you got to check, the main rotor should not have power (like a normal helicopter) otherwise it is not autogyro, if falls into "compound helicopter" category
