The MiG-21PFM (NATO reporting name: Fishbed-F) is an upgraded variant of the Soviet-designed MiG-21 interceptor aircraft, developed in the 1960s. This model features improvements in radar systems, cockpit layout, and weapons capability compared to earlier versions. The MiG-21PFM can carry air-to-air missiles, bombs, and unguided rockets, and is equipped with a drag chute for landing assistance.Primarily intended for interception and air superiority missions, the MiG-21PFM also has limited ground-attack capabilities. It was widely used by Warsaw Pact nations and Soviet allies around the world, including Vietnam.
