Backstory:

Developed by Freedom Aerospace as a trainer for new recruits enlisting for the Knights or Favonius air force, the KL-33 is a barebones aircraft that is set to teach new recruits the basics of combat flight.

Due to the KL-33's classic design, the airframe proved to be quite reliable, and is used from basic flight training to mock dogfights, its single engine capable of taking the craft to transonic speeds. It was then that a K'hanrean Knight, Kaeya Alberich decided to modify the KL-33 by changing out the 10mm guns (for shooting target practice balloons) to 20mm guns to be used for strafing runs, as the aircraft's small size is perfect for maneuvering in tighter spaces.

Freedom Aerospace, taking notice to the modification, developed an attacker/Light bomber variant of the aircraft. The KL-33 A integrated the 4 20mm guns and reinforced the wings to add hardpoints for four 250 lb M.25 "Fish Blaster" bombs and two 500-800 lb bombs.

The KL-33 A, now becoming a capable attacker despite its size has caught the eye of a young knight...

After passing her basic flight training, Klee decided to keep the KL-33 A instead of flying the BN-3T Trainer/Attacker or the AM-83 Fighter just because the plane is cute in her opinion. The grandmaster approved of this request and occasionally train her and go on patrols with her.

Wanting to make the plane cuter, Klee decided to make her dodoco bombs bigger and requested Kaeya to help with mounting them to the stronger pylons on the wings. It was one of those dodoco bombs that broke of a massive piece from Stormbearer Mountains and caused Cider Lake to rise. Luckily, no ships were passing by the river when it happened.

1. The KL-33 is mostly inspired by the F-86, MiG-15 and 17 because In my opinion it looks cute

2. The aircraft also draws a bit of inspiration from the Folland Gnat T.1 by being a trainer.

3. The bomb's code name is based on Klee's favorite activity, Fish Blasting
