Introduction:

The Minaret is a tall structure (that is apparently a minaret) with three golden spheres of varying size placed at the top, located at the very center of the Golden City within King Nod's palace as featured in The Thief and the Cobbler, an unfinished film by Richard Williams originally intended to be the magnum opus of animation.

According to the premise of the film, the three golden spheres offer protection to the entire city. It was prophesized that if the spheres were to be removed, death and destruction would befall onto said city and that “the simplest soul with the simplest and smallest of things” can save it and avert potential apocalypse.
