following the 6 year war there were a need for missile cruisers with a capabilty for shore bombardment. origanally plane to had 20.3 cm guns. it was degraded to 15.5cm guns for a faster reload and more turrets. the ship class used a new computer known as the magi super computur to caculate a fireing solution.
