Class: Air Superiority Fighter

Description


Iron Knight was an experimental single seated 5th Gen Air Superiority Fighter with sophisticated technology. Developed and built by CNS to compete againts Irilon's Skyknight UCAV. Iron Knight can pack a serious punch to Imperial air forces. Unlike Skyknight, Iron Knight still manned with a pilot, so it manuever is limited by pilot's ability. However, it can carry more weapon than Skyknight, extended with two detachable external weapon pods, each contain 6 Air-to-Air missiles, made this plane more superior than Skyknight in term of weaponry.

It mainly built as a air superiority fighter, but Iron Knight also equipped with Air-to-Ground weapon. 16 small experimental VLS missiles stored in front of the engine. Made this plane not only dangerous to enemy plane, but also enemy ground vehicle. The downside of this weapon is its placement. It fired vertically, so the pilot must roll the plane a little to fire it more accurately in short range. But in medium range, it's still quite accurate even if the plane isn't rolled a little. The armanents also can be changed to Ground Attack weapons. The main weapon bay can store 2 50kg Unguided Bombs and +6 missiles.

However, the plane have one flaw, It's cost. It's so expensive that one Iron Knight is as expensive as one squadron with regular planes. But this high cost come with high tech systems and weaponries. Only 3 planes were built and sent to 16th "Strider" Experimental Strike Group

How To Fly This Thing?

Take Off
Throttle up till you get about 800 kph
Pitch up till you airborne, decrease throttle to >90% to deactivate afterburner

Flying
Just control it like normal airplane

Landing
Land it like normal plane, and remember to decrease throttle before touching ground, the brake isn't really strong. Tbh, I never try to land this

    Appreciate it, It's pretty heavy for mobile, but I still could run it pretty smoothly if the missile pod and HUD removed
