[About Lavochkin-Gorbunov-Gudkov LaGG-3]

Wikipedia
The Lavochkin-Gorbunov-Gudkov LaGG-3 was a single-engine, single-seat fighter operated by the Soviet Red Air Force during World War II.
In 1939, Vladimir Petrovich Gorbunov, then an engineer at the Ministry of Aviation Industry, proposed the use of special plywood for the fuselage, and his idea was approved, leading to the establishment of OKB 301, a design bureau headed by him. The prototype plywood fighter was completed in 1940 and made its first flight. The fighter was named "LaGG-1" after the initials of the three designers, Lavochkin, Gorbunov, and Gudkov.
The LaGG-1 did not meet the military's requirement of a range of more than 1,000 km, so it was modified and put into production as the LaGG-3.
The prototype LaGG-1 performed well and was considered comparable to the Yak-1 and other aircraft. However, the LaGG-3 had additional fuel tanks, a radio antenna mast, and a fixed retractable tailwheel, which increased aerodynamic drag. In addition, after the outbreak of the war between Germany and the Soviet Union in 1941, the emphasis was placed on mass production, which resulted in many inferior products and a further decline in specifications. As a result, pilots came to regard flying the LaGG-3 as a misfortune.
Although the LaGG-3 had a difficult time against German aircraft, it still produced a few ace pilots.
The LaGG-3 underwent a series of improvements during its production phase. The LaGG-3's engine was replaced by a powerful air-cooled engine in the La-5, which was later regarded as a masterpiece.

[About the work]
Lately I've been building all these big builds, like "two-seat bomber" or "three-seat torpedo bomber" or "three-seat torpedo bomber with a swivel turret". I'm tired. So this time I decided on a simple single-seat fighter. The paint scheme was simple winter camouflage, and for the first time in a long time, the number of parts used in this build was less than 600.
The cockpit is roughly reproduced.
I have not verified this because I do not have Simple Planes VR. Sorry.

    @WinsWings
    Thank you. This time, I made it so that I could reproduce the cross-sectional shape as faithfully as possible, especially in the nose section. If the shape is closer to that of the scale model, that's good news for me :)

    @AntonWings My pleasure - I have a pair of Lavochkin fighters - 1/72 scale models, that I was building for a while and never finished yet. Your build looks very accurate based on the models I got

    @Jaspy190 Let me rephrase what I said.
    It's nuts to think that the Soviets, despite their bad economical and war production status back then, were able to make a wooden fighter work far enough until they had better stuff.
    .
    I don't see what point you're trying to make here.
