Well, I've been gone a hot minute!
My apologies. Was a bit...busy.
But, into the lore.
Suipa Aviations, which at that point was simply just known as Suipa Engineering, and it's founder Alexander J. B. Wilkinson, were some of the first companies to take interest in the new technology of the airplane, with numerous early attempts resulting in...failure, including the lost of a test pilot to the swarming seas of the Commonwealth (which, at this point, had yet to become an independent nation) in Hurricane season. However, that didn't mean they stopped.
The S-12, unlike later Suipa planes which have their designation based on their first flight's year, has its number based on the year of the start of its development. 1912. It entered service in 1916. Now, you may be wondering 'Wait, planes didn't take that long to develop then though, why did it take so long?'
Simple, a few months after beginning development in 1912, the project was put on pause, as Suipa returned to doing what it had been doing before these failed attempts, like building fridges. However, once 1914 hit, and WW1 ignited, Suipa, seeing a nice chance for money, began trying to design numerous planes, each and every single one of them failing and leaving the budget looking a bit tight.
Desperate, Ol' Alex opened the cancelled projects folders, and saw the S-12, and, gambling on it being at least somewhat decent, rushed it through to production with some changes from its initial design.
As such, the S-12 entered service, 4 years after the date it was named after! For its performance, it was....kinda mediocre. That isn't to say it wasn't good, oh heavens no it was! But compared to the Camel and Albatross's variants, it left much to be desired.
It did, however, net Suipa the interest of the colonial government, leading to a partnership that, long after the colonial government's end, continues to exist. The plane saw its last bit of military service in 1930, but some of them still exist, being seen as a bit of a niche collector's item.
For AGs...nothing. It has a basic cockpit (WW1 plane, of course), and some decent performance. Have fun!

Since I'm kind of bored, I'm going through every plane I made, uploaded or unuploaded, and, according to date of creation, uploading them. So expect more!
Also, how do you do camos exactly? We here at Suipa aren't the most...good at painting.
