The High Acrobatics Squadron Cruz del Sur is the official aerobatic flight team of the Argentine Air Force, which had until 2012 headquarters at the IV Air Brigade in El Plumerillo, province of Mendoza (Argentina) and currently its headquarters the Air Base Morón military in Morón, province of Buenos Aires. This squadron carried out exhibitions from 1962 until its disappearance in 1985, being reactivated in 1997. For years it used seven Sujoi Su-29AR airplanes in its air shows.1 Budget and spare problems meant the disappearance of the squad.
However, the Argentine Air Force began to prepare a new version of the squad, which it relaunched in 2013 with a new paint scheme and the acquisition of 6 IA-63 Pampa II aircraft of national manufacture, in order to standardize the line of flight and re-equipped with an advanced and good performance aircraft.2
Currently, the only aircraft with the acrobatic paint scheme are the EX-03 and the E-820, although they do not operate within the squad as such, but the EX-03 is in FADeA and the E-820 in the IV Air Brigade, the latter being employed in training functions of the IA-63 Pampa weapons system.
Do not stop the plane when it has 100% acceleration, it makes it go forward and ends up being a disaster
