Planned since 1946 and finished on 1950, ME 268 built to hunt allies heavy bomber, it's main role is an interceptor but due to multirole demand ME 268 also equipped with triple MK 108/H 35mm to fulfill ground attack role and ever recorded with maximum speed around 730 mph (1175 km/h).
