Pilatus PC-12 NG v1.0

Auto Credit Based on BRuthless's Pilatus PC-12NG (WIP)

The most wanted single, now in SP!
Here I present you my replica of the Pilatus PC-12NG, the absolutely best aircraft in it's class.

I tried to make the proportions and performance as scale as possible, but to make it fit better into the SP world I gave it around two times the size, two times the weight, ten times the power and probably a lot more drag. Also I've put a weather radar on both sides for balance.

It features a fully furnished interior, detailed exterior with exhaust smoke and a working cockpit with yokes, rudder pedals, throttle lever, landing gear lever, landing gear lights, flap lever, prop pitch lever and POV cameras.

Controls:

AG1: turn on interior lights, activate engine, activate beacon lights, activate position lights
AG2: turn on strobe lights
AG3: turn on taxi lights
AG4: turn on landing lights and activate flaps (controlled with Trim-slider)
VTOL-slider: adjust propeller pitch (very important! adjust it slightly upwards when you get the warning of overspeed. keep it as low as possible without overspeeding for maximum performance. can also be used for reverse thrust for very short landings or parking.)
Trim-slider: elevator trim and flaps
+ standard controls for throttle, brakes, roll, pitch, yaw

Speeds:

maximum speed at 25000 ft: 354 MPH
maximum cruise speed at 25000 ft (75% throttle): 312 MPH
take off speed: 150 MPH (190 MPH with take off trim and without pitching up yourself)
reference speed for landing: 125 MPH
stall speed below 5000 ft: ~100 MPH

Take off almost happens automatically. The procedure goes like this: Activate AG1, 2, 3 and 4, put the VTOL-slider to the first notch above of the middle and the Trim-slider to the first notch below the middle, then put throttle to 100% and use yaw to keep the aircraft straight if needed. After lift off you put the Trim-slider to the middle position again, deactivate AG3 and 4 and retract the landing gear.

On approach to a runway you should use around 40% throttle with halfway extended flaps, lowering it to 25% right before the runway with fully extended flaps. For taxiing and idle you should use 5% throttle. Don't forget to turn off landing lights and strobe lights after leaving the runway, they can hurt someone's eyes!

Now some more info about the aircraft:

The Pilatus PC-12 NG has gained a reputation for outstanding versatility, performance, reliability and operational flexibility. As such, it is one of the most popular turbine-powered business aircraft on the market today. Over 1300 aircraft have been sold.

In operation around the globe, the PC-12 NG has found popularity in a number of roles– executive transport, cargo, air ambulance, airline, and government special mission applications.

Whether it is the large cabin, single pilot operations, long range, low operating costs, high speed, short-field capability, or precision Swiss engineering and construction, customers find the perfect balance of features to serve their needs in the PC-12 NG.

Features:

A Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67P engine, flat-rated at 1,200 SHP with five blade graphite composite propeller
A 330 cubic foot pressurized passenger cabin with seating for up to 9 passengers
A maximum range of 1,845 nautical miles (HSC, VFR, reserves)
285 knot maximum cruise speed
A high-lift wing for exceptional short-field performance
Standard forward passenger door and large (53 in x 52 in) aft cargo door
Retractable trailing-link landing gear capable of grass and unimproved field operation
Certification for flight into known icing conditions
State-of-the-art Honeywell Primus Apex avionics
Single-pilot certification

@IamSage Well I'm not really playing this anymore so yeah go ahead, just make sure it's actually an improvement and not a different color scheme or something :D
According to a previous comment an update made the custom XML settings I did on the prop not work properly anymore I suppose, so that's something that could be fixed.

The game now also has glass and official instruments and all that fancy stuff.

@CruzerBlade Nope, it's around 2:1. When I built it I didn't have as good tools as nowadays and the scaling didn't work so well.

    Mmm nice
    Is this in 1:1 scale?

@Flightsimulator Sure. I'm not actively playing SP anymore, otherwise I would probably update it and put Gestours instruments in myself.

@Victor039 It has to be on free spin to work, it is not controlled by anything. In reality the artificial horizons move in a vacuum without any resistance, so they will always stay lined up with the horizon when the aircraft rotates, but in SP there are always some forces working on it, no matter how much you try to isolate it. The other problem is that the artificial horizon would have to move up and down completely freely aswell.

@BRuthless I mean, the thing uve done is, when the plane goes left the line goes right, and when the plane goes right, the line goes left, next time just switch the invert!

@Victor039 Yes, on a real artifical horizon the line in the middle has to move with the aircraft while the background stays steady. It would need a pretty complex contraption to replicate that in SP and even then it would just roll wherever it wants to roll to and get out of sync. I tried to make one without success, it was just constantly rolling as soon as the aircraft started to move. We will never have accurate cockpit instruments unless they are added as scripted parts to the game sadly. All we can do right now is making the cockpit panel look like it had an actual use. :D

@BRuthless I meant a the horizon thing, I noticed on ur builds that the horizon thing is quite incorrect, because when u turn right, it goes left and when u turn left, it goes right..

@Victor039 It has cockpit lights, but lights in SP don't illuminate their surroundings. I don't know what you mean with the altitude thing. It doesn't have an altimeter, as it's impossible to measure the altitude physically in SP. You would need something to measure air pressure for that.

@BRuthless pilatus is better, I flew on it once, it has really good really new garmin navigation and its cockpit has good material and it has a lot of functions, also it needs some lights in the cockpit cuz at night it's barely spotable and u need to fix the thing with the altitude cuz it's opposite way...

@JTM55 Sure I could, but it doesn't make sense to build aircrafts that are basically the same as the one I already built. :D
