This is the Black Jaguar, Indonesia’s main battle tank equipped with a 123 mm main gun, a 30 mm autocannon, and capable of reaching speeds up to 80 km/h. It is the successor to the Pindad MT Jaguar medium tank (which i would make it soon).
The design process began between 1995 and 2000, with full-scale production starting in 2002. Pindad successfully developed 10 prototypes in mid-2001, which were subsequently tested by the end of that year.
But why was it made? In this alternate universe, Indonesia needed a new main battle tank to replace aging models like the AGC-84 series and the MT Jaguar series. The development was initiated under the project title "Experimental Main Battle Tank Concept No.1–3".
Concepts No.1 and No.3 were ultimately scrapped due to high costs, excessive weight, and overly complex systems for the time. Concept No.2, on the other hand, was initially considered outdated. However, after a significant redesign by its creator, the concept gained the attention of Pindad.
Originally named "Concept 123", it was later renamed to KT95 — short for Kendaraan Tempur 95 (with '95' referencing the year it was designed). It would eventually become known more widely as the "Black Jaguar" or "Black Jaguar MBT".
