The Pz.lll VK3.05 is a light tank based on the Pz.lll chassis, developed in 1977. Its features include a redesigned turret, composite removable armor, and grating armor around the turret and hull. The tank is equipped with a 75 mm x 59L rapid-firing gun that can fire APFSDS armor-piercing rounds, with a muzzle velocity of 1,500 meters per second, an equivalent penetration depth of 320 mm of vertical armor steel, and two "Needle-4" multi-purpose rockets. There is a car length observation tower on the roof that can be rotated electrically, and a 25mm automatic grenade launcher is also equipped on it. It is the only Pz.lll tank that has not been retired so far.
