The North American T-28 Trojan was a single-engine, low-wing monoplane that served as a trainer aircraft for the U.S. Air Force and Navy from the 1950s. It was the first new trainer aircraft after World War II, winning a competition in 1948. The T-28A model entered production in 1950, with the Air Force version having an 800-hp engine and the Navy version having a 1,425-hp engine.
