A WWII Era Piston Powered Patrol Aircraft. Designed to protect the shores of various nations from the threat of Submarine and surface wasrships. Entering service in 1940 as a rapid development response the the outbreak of war. It was very well liked by crews for it's comfort within it's spacious fuselage, it's well insulated cabin, and it's comfortable and smooth controls. It was, however, very open to fighter attack, which lead to the development of more advanced aircraft which succeeded the PM-1 Perceus in it's intended role. The aircraft was used in reserve and as a trainer well into the 1970s. Demonstrating it's longevity and sound design. Armed with 8 250 kg Bombs (AG3) and two 500 kg Bombs (AG4) inside it's bomb bay (AG1 +Trim ), The Perceus also carried a defensive turret (AG2 Vtol and Trim) with a single .30 MG. The retractable Gear (AG1 +VTOL Down) were known for their reliability and toughness. Leading to the Perceus being used as a passenger aircraft for many nations after the war. Also carrying 8 Air to Surface Rockets, the Perceus was a feared aircraft up untll the end of the war.
