As promised here is a reworked version of my earlier Dieselpunk Expedition Vehicle built for GrandPrix's SP2 Exploration Challenge. It has a bit more powerful engines which enable it to climb slopes up to 30° and a redesigned hull, giving it limited seaworthiness, at least good enough to cross even major rivers.
It also has a completely decked-out cockpit and a retractable 'greenhouse' -style rear observation post.
As for the lore: I imagined for this one to be designed originally as a Dieselpunk exploration vehicle, but later built as a small series of luxury safari cruisers for the nobility, celebrities and Industrial Barons of the Roaring Twenties. In cruiser loadout, it houses six persons in two double cabins (With the understanding that the fifth and sixth person would be the cook/buttler and the chauffeur, who would have enough with a hammock in the forward storage room) In safari loadout, it can carry up to 7 passengers, one driver, one mechanic and all the tents and supplies for an overnight camp.
As for driving: Activate1 starts the engines and raises the exhaust funnels. Throttle (left joystick) moves the craft forwards. Throttle with Trim zmoved to the highest position moves the craft backwards. Roll (right joystick) steers left and right.
