The Cobra helicopters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran Revolutionary Guards Corps are among the most important combat units of the Iranian Armed Forces, which are fully prepared to carry out current and new missions by installing new and advanced equipment and Iranian weapons with greater capabilities. The Cobra was used with considerable success during the Iran-Iraq war. In addition to performing anti-tank and close air support missions, these helicopters had numerous conflicts with Mil-24 helicopters of the Iraqi Air Force, which is the first helicopter-to-helicopter battle in a real war.
