I designed a small all-weather AWACS control/patrol aircraft with a rectangular top-mounted radome. With a full suite of lights, formation beacons, and cockpit instruments, the “Scraper” can operate and sustain itself at night or in adverse weather to ensure reliable coverage of any part of the sky.
Nicknamed by its pilots for its low stance and tight landing rig, the CR-1 operates primarily from paved bases to fly long-range loiters in control areas.
This aircraft features a three-seat configuration, with two forward pilots and a third crewman to serve as a coordinator or navigator, allowing a single CR-1 to effectively serve a decent control radius.
I would appreciate it if anybody could mod this to be more stable in flight, as the weight and drag of the assembly creates some unsavory flight characteristics. May personally modify later.
