The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is an American fifth-generation, single-seat, twin-engine, all-weather, stealth tactical air superiority fighter aircraft designed and manufactured by Lockheed Martin and Boeing and in use by the USAF. Despite an air superiority fighter, it also provide ground attack, electronic warfare, and signal intelligence capabilities.

The aircraft first flew in 1997 and was variously designated as the "F-22" or the "F/A-22" before it formally entered service in December 2005 as the F-22A. The aircraft was ban on being exported to other countries; not just its costly expensive price made it unaffordable, but that is also to protect its stealth technology classified features. The aircraft is considered to be the first fifth-generation fighter aircraft to ever exist.
