Working hydrofoil

315 PattersonAeroplaneCo  8.5 years ago

So I saw a few hydrofoils popping up today, so i decided its time for me to put my sailing knowledge to work. I've tried to replicate the foil designs seen on modern America's Cup boats, and what i got was a very stable foil concept. The angled foils are ctaully ver stable because as foil lifts up it comes out of the water and loses lift. I also found that this craft is almost impossible to role because the foils are so far from the center. The only issue i am struggling with is steering, but i am working on ways to fix it currently. To fly this boat, put the VTOL slider up to the first mark and throttle up. Wait for the boat to stop bouncing before beginning to steer. If you want to turn fast, drop off the foils and activate 1. Hope you all enjoy!
