France decided to go ahead with its own project to build a Carrier bourne strike aircraft in the 1950's, the Etendard IV was the end result, no one else operated this aircraft but it did lead to the Super E which made such an impact in 1982. In effect a sub sonic light carrier bourne aircraft the planes flew for the better part of thirty years from a range of French carriers and Marine bases. This one's a bit too quick and fairly heavy on the pitch still nice enough to fly and is happy roaring about the islands at mach 0.9ish.
