The Rheinmetall Tiger is a German-made main battle tank (MBT) developed as a parallel evolution to the Leopard 2 series. Branching off from the Leopard 2A4 project in the early 1990s, the Tiger was created by Rheinmetall AG to meet the growing demand for a multi-role, all-environment combat platform, capable of operations in all terrain, all weather, and all time conditions.

First Variant: Mk.1 Mod.1 (1995)
Entered service with the Bundeswehr in 1995. It featured a modified Leopard 2A4 hull with upgraded frontal armor, a new angular turret design, and an advanced fire control system with integrated auto-target recognition.
