Again, he was referring to the older Su-27M, which was originally designated as Su-35. And had canards.

@DarthAbhinav @Blue0Bull the Su-35 designation actually applies to 2 variants of the Su-27, the former(also designated Su-27M)being a Soviet prototype featuring canards and a reshaped LERX, a model of which was further developed into the legendary Su-37 and the latter being the production model(without canards but equipped with TVC) that the VVS uses today. So technically... you're both correct.

Su35 uses the appearance of su27, so it looks like
@DarthAbhinav a Su-35 looks identical to the Su-27. The Su-35 has no canards. This looks pretty much like a Su-35.
