Kalayaan Heavy Industries KHF/A-6E/F Super Sparrow

Overview

The Kalayaan Heavy Industries KHF/A-6E/F Super Sparrow are a family of supersonic, twin-engine, carrier-capable multirole fighter aircrafts developed by the Kalayaan Heavy Industries based on the KHF/T-06 Light Sparrow. The KHF/A-6E single-seat and KHF/A-6F tandem-seat variants feature vast improvements over its predecessors both in design, flight characteristics and avionics.

With noticeable improvements such as larger wing area, redesigned landing gear and larger airframe, the aircraft is able to operate in carriers and carry more munitions. Its aerodynamic improvements enabled the aircraft to become partially supermaneuverable and perform Pugachev's Cobra, which is known in Maharlikan as "Prenong Kolubri" which roughly translates to Hummingbird's Brake, though it is at the cost of aircraft's stability. Its improved MTF-28 engines give the aircraft extra thrust, thus increasing its top speed and thrust-to-weight ratio.

The aircraft can perform fighter escort, fleet air defense, suppression of enemy air defenses, air interdiction, close air support, and aerial reconnaissance. As of 2022, 55 units are being delivered to the Maharlikan Republic Navy to complement the MaF-18 Centurions and are currently in service with the carrier MRFS Alakdan, with 165 more units ordered for MRFS Arayat, MRFS Mario Morales and MRFS Katipunan and 48 units ordered by the Maharlikan Republic Air Force.

Author's Note

This is the improved version, and I can say that this is somehow worth it. Made it cobra-worthy, but it's a trick. If you want to make it perform a full cobra, let it fly at less than 275 mph, then give it a quick pull up and let the controls go quickly. It'll lower its nose on its own, but it might lose altitude, so better go full afterburner once its nose is about to level with the horizon.

Some of these screenshots are taken before the decal and/or refueling probe is being added. I added the probe at the last minute LOL, plus the wheels might bounce hard too, so yep, it's kinda tricky.

If you like the build, make sure to updoot this craft! All the comments and updoots will be appreciated. 😁

Happy Flying, Boiis!

@PaulJohnLozada oh, you don't have to. It was just advice for future builds.

@Dastin Well, let me remove this first on the weekends. I'll add it back with a brighter thumbnail

@PaulJohnLozada night mode is fine so long as its not the main thumbnail. If you want your build to be seen you need to let it be, well, seen. As it is the plane is barely visible.

@Dastin The night mode pic was kinda nice for me. I've experimented, but it turns out that it fails.

Hiyo, one tidbit of advice to get your build more traction is to not take pictures at night for the primary thumbnail. It's quite difficult to see any detail on it.

Looking at it overall, its not bad. Keep it up.
