This is an enlarged version (for somewhat greater detail) of the plane built by cannibalizing a C-82 Packet in the 1965 film "The Flight of the Phoenix" with James Stewart. I did have to add weight to the front and adjust the maximum pitch and rudder angles for more desirable flight characteristics, but now it flies quite well, though it does require a rather long takeoff run.
