The TU-90E is basically three TU-40s strapped together. The purpose was to create a large long range carrier based AWACS that has interchangeable parts with another aircraft to simplify logistics. This TU-90E is one of two Hurricanes assigned to the 101st Fighter Wing consisting of 24 TF-74 Vixen fighters.
Note: Airstrikes can now target air and ground targets thanks to the AMT-77 missile.
