As the Scorpion Mk 1 was being retired, Polygon Technologies, based at Wright Airport, acquired some of them. To fit the requirements of 001 Squadron “Monogon”, Polygon Technologies made several modifications to the original airframe such as:
- additional flares for better protection
- Conformal Fuel Tank for improved combat radius
- More hard points for modified armaments
- Radar
- Bigger and wider wheels to accommodate higher loads
- Movable fins at the bottom to improve pitch
- Additional cannon
- Pod (see link 1 below)
- Maintenance Mode (Group 7)
- And many more.
This build would not have been possible without the excellent original design, which you should definitely check out!
