Orbital satelite rocket MK1

8,084 consumeroftoasters  4.2 years ago

A 3 stage rocket capable of launching a satelite module 100,000m (100km) into the thermosphere which can be recovered once it falls back to earth.
The rocket reaches a maximum speed of 4500km/h to bypass simpleplanes' stupid atmospherical physics ao it can get anywhere near space.
The satelite module has folding out solar panels and a retractable radar.

Use this rocket at night and with clear weather for best experience.

CONTROLS:
Throttle - activate primary engines
AG1 - Decouple stage 1 (best done around 80km)
AG2 - Deploy satelite
AG3 - Activate satelite’s parachutes

Deactivate gear before launch, don’t turn off AG8.
It appears the plane navigation thing fails to function at the speed/altitude the rocket reaches

Yeah they probably got to worry about their share value. Trouble is a lot of the newer things won’t work on older devices. @Ultra0

@Tang0five I dont’t see why they havent added some altitude based physics or rocket related content as they’ve added car, boat and helicopter parts before. SP had the potential to be a game for every type of vehicle but they instead made SR2.

Good stuff! I’ve dabbled in space craft and it is a bit disheartening when you can’t actually reach it SP... maybe one day they will bring that out but I doubt it with SR2 on the go.
