The Fs.419 entered service in 1971 after 4 years of development, it was built in such a way that the factories that had been producing the F-204 for the LAF could quickly switch to building the larger and better Fs.419 making its production very fast they built 378 by 1980 and then ceased production, it would serve until 1998 when it was replaced fully by the AAE lightning. (ag7 to jettison missiles)
