One of my Warplanes - Japanese Torpedo Bomber

A radical design for an extremely long-range bomber. The Rikko came about from a direct order from Admiral Yamamoto. Minimal armament thanks to long range fighter escort and huge, fuel brimming wings meant it was extremely vulnerable to enemy fighters. Tactically it was a success - Rikkos flew incredibly deep strikes into Allied territories, catching its targets completely off guard.

P I L O T S - N O T E S

Please note this is a complicated aiming system - but if you learn it you can snipe the carrier from quite the distance away.

ACT1 VTOL - landing flaps
ACT2 VTOL - vtol down to open hatch & extend aiming pod, with the torpedo periscope
ACT3 VTOL - vtol up and down rotates the marker disk, which alligns the main aiming sight.

You're gonna want to approach your target at about 100ft, flying level. Adjust vtol depending on the angle you are approaching the carrier, and when the carrier fits perfectly within the two large outer bars you will be at the correct distance to release.

ACT4 - drop torpedo. Keep activated until torpedo hits, as this powers the torp's engines too.

In-game stats for nerds - G3M2 model 22 Mitsubishi 'Rikko', 2x950hp Kinsei (ingame 1,500) , 16,750lbs, two 500gal tanks in wings, 180mph. Armed with aerial torpedo

Type 91 Mod 2 Torpedo, 1,850lbs, 450lbs explosive charge, 55mph cruising, 2 prop 200hp wet engine.

Do you think that sometime in the future you could do some random seaplane/floatplane from the ww2 era(e.g. PBY, A6m2n, etc)@Weaverfish

Torpedoes are a bit hard to use, but nevertheless it's such an awesome creation and mechanic!

@bskngshrk Small fixes to colour, engine power, torpedo weight ect

I wish we had the chance to patch old submissions instead of having to delete them.
