After the FDP (fighter Development Program) was successful,
the Royal Thai Air Force considered bringing the F-40 Y-jack the product from FDP into the service, with around 60 delivered, in 4 squadrons.

In 2040, the Royal Thai Navy decided to provide an F-35B for the maritime patrol mission and service in the light carrier with around 14-32 units, however, the government petitioned to Royal Thai Navy, to order the F-40. the Royal Thai Navy rejected this petition. because an F-40 wasn't designed for the maritime mission. By the way, the effort to take the F-40 into service isn't over, Royal Thai Navy was offered by EADC and Faculty of Engineering-CU, for the project to develop and upgrade the F-40 for the Navy's mission, in F-40 Type N, known as the F-40X project.

• Fitted the DTI-5 (Navy and DTI Co-development anti-ship missile)
• Must have 2 hardpoint (minimum) underwing supported for beast mode for the CAS mission

VTOL system
(1) Activate 1
(2) Pushed the VTOL to the least
(3) the aircraft will be taken off from the ground. and then "push the Throttle" to 15 percent
(4) reset of VTOL slowly
(5) retracting the landing gear and pushing the Throttle to 45% or more
(6) De-activate 1
