The Boeing B-17G “flying fortress” was a heavy bomber used by the US in the Second World War during the bombing raids over northern Germany and even parts of occupied France on priority targets (factories/airfields) this is where it gained a reputation for being hard to kill, hence the name, Flying Fortress, with reports of B-17s arriving back at base with damage that would down other aircraft such as only having one working engine, missing rear Stabilisers, missing rudders and even huge gashes down the fuselage.

Now this B-17G doesn’t have bomb bays or bombs, but it does have a shit ton of guns to shoot, and is capable of flying back to an airfield with one engine (if you’re at medium - high altitude that is)
