The Carcohl is a rare case of a post-Crumbling strategic bomber and is the SFR's main maritime patrol aircraft. Gifted with an unusual tandem-wing pentamotor design which provides it with enough redundancy to stay aloft on two engines. Contrasting with even most heavy bombers, the Carcohl is a veritable fortress bustling with defensive guns and a high payload even by the standards of other heavy bombers. However, this is compensated for by being a slow, fuel-hungry aircraft.
While the most important war in the Sixth French Republic's past was waged with an air fleet focused on tactical roles, the Republic started to build and field heavy bombers in it's last days. However, they were of limited use by this point, and were later put to work against naval raids from abroad, both by patrolling and sinking would-be raiders, and bombing and mining their bases. In this, they proved successful. Since then, the Armée de'l Air has had a tradition of flying strategic bombers. While few in number, their range allows them to have a disproportionate effect.
Controls: 1-6 for turrets, 8 for bomb bay and engines. Throttle+VTOL to aim the guns.
