Fire Ant NVLSB (Naval Vertical Launched System Buoy)

The Fire Ant (named after how it is made to be annoying and deadly) is a remotely controlled VLS system that sits in the ocean. It is pushed out to its destination by tugboats or being dragged along by other vessels and releasing them when they are there. They contain a propulsion system to keep themselves in a specific region. It also functions as a sonar and radar monitoring system as usually the Fire Ant is equipped with detached Sono/Radar buoys (up to 8) that are connected by a 500ft long cable that allows for communication and powering as the buoys have their own solarpanels to power. The Fire Ant itself also has a sonar array. The Fire Ant contains 16 VLS tubes for attacking and defending itself and other targets. Some variants of the Fire Ant allow for the oversized buoy itself to be submerged around 15ft deep. The fire ant has a huge rechargeable battery that can last it a year, but also draws power from the smaller buoys solar arrays, while it is a little amount of energy being taken for itself, its enough to somewhat stay functional. The Fire Ant also has to have a "idle month" that is reserved just for recharging, as the name suggests it takes a month. The Fire Ant can be resupplied in its weaponry by a resupply ship.

Fire Ant "Colony" Details:

A colony consists of 4 Fire Ant launch systems and about 30 sono/radar buoys. They can be spread out to however the owner likes, overall it costs about 50-100 million to be initially created.
