Ostpreußen Heer P.020d-128a
"Isss finally done" -Me, taking over a year to finish this
A spiritual successor of the Žaneta built for modern and future combat in Eastern Europe.

•History/Design
With various concerns coming from the rising weight with diminishing returns by up-armoring preceeding Žaneta designs on top of the 2014 Russian Invasion/annexation of Crimea, it was decided that the P.020c-128m wouldn't be as capable as anticipated against Russian armor or anti-tank weapons. With significant political interest it was decided to entirely scrap the progression of earlier Žaneta designs amd work with something more in-line with modern Ostpreußen requirements and doctrine.

•Turret
The turret was designed from the start with modularity in mind; being capable of fitting a variety of APS modules, armor packs, as well as a variety of optics and antenna to keep the Žaneta 4 competative in modern combat.

The current turret is outfitted with variable hardness steel addon plates covering the turret face and filled with ceramic panels that are coated in a synthetic rubber spall liner. The turret itself is made of several layers of spaced composite armor providing all-around protection from kinetic and chemical projectiles and giving the crew that much better survivability. The turret sides are covered with composite armor blocks made of ceramic materials and variable hardness steel in anticipation for chemical projectiles like ATGMs and infantry-fired anti-tank rockets.
Two Parkuns Hard Kill Active Protection System modules are placed on the sides of the turret to primarily combat unguided and guided chemical warheads, such as shoulder-fired anti-tank infantry weapons and ATGMs.
The Parkuns APS system isn't considered a cutting edge APS, though considering Ostpreußen's needs it was the best domestic option.

The turret features the Rheinmetall Ost Rh-128A7A2 128mm Smoothbore Gun featuring a similar semi-autoloading system as the preceeding P.020c-128m; the desired ammunition being withdrawn from the turret bustle ammo stowage by mechanical arm onto a rack, the loader moving the ammunition to the loading rack, then a mechanical arm loading the ammunition into the gun. Once the ammunition has been fired the spent casing is ejected downwards into the turret basket so the casing eventually can be placed back into the ammo stowage when firing has ceased.

•Hull
Much like the turret, the hull featured modularity to some extent all while being more compact than predecessors with space for improved engines, turrets, or even radical redesigns requiring expansion of the hull in general.

The frontal armor shown consists of several spaced composite layers made from variable hardness steel, various ceramic materials, and synthetic rubber spall liners to provide the most protection posible for the crew.
A layer of bolted-on face hardened steel covers the upper frontal hull to provide additional protection against heavy machinegun fire and chemical projectiles. The nature of this addon armor allows a large versatility for protection and helps lighten the vehicle's total weight when outside of combat.

•Versatility
As with predecessor Žaneta AFV's, the P.020d-128m is meant as a quick reaction tank destroyer and pseudo-MBT that would take advantage of the flat terrain and semi-expansive infrastructure Ostpreußen. With mobility being key the same engine from the previous P.020c-128m with a improved powerpack and radiators.

Due to the underperforming nature of the P.020c-128m's A/C, a significantly more robust system was installed on the rear of the turret bustle that runs cold air through for the turret crew while also providing an overpressure environment inside the vehicle for NBC purposes.

For absolutely no reason in OstP lore, a christie suspension was used for the P.020d-128m. The only reason it was used was it could be pretty easily replicated in SP and it worked really nice with the vehicles weight.
Because of this design decision a number of dampeners were installed to counteract the excessive rocking/bouncing the vehicle and crew would experience going at the vehicles top speed offroad. The offroad rocking/bouncing was found to not interfere with the main guns targeting thanks to its gyroscope stabilizer.

Note from Staffel
So this took me quite a while to start then finish, sitting as a concept in my head for who onows how long before settling on this.
But regardless, I'm just glad to see it up publically and hopefully everyone enjoys it.

Oh! I do recall there being two weird quirks I couldnt manage to solve, one being the rear four tires being jittery when you leave the Žaneta idle and the other being something in the turret stopping the gun from elevating its full +30°. Theyre small things that hopefully wont stop anyones enjoyment but it was already a nightmare fixing up the suspension.
