The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American ship fighter during the Second World War. Manufactured by the American company Grumman, it was the successor of the Grumman F4F Wildcat, with which it shared a familiar air despite being a completely new design. The Hellcat, along with the Vought F4U Corsair, was the main embarked fighter of the United States Navy during the second half of World War II.
