HISTORY
The Ilmarinen was a Finnish Coastal defense ship ordered in 1927 and was commissioned in 1934. She was the flagship of the Finnish Navy from May 1, 1933, until she sunk from a mine on the 13 of September, 1941. The Ilmarinen and her sister ship Vainamoinen were the among the last coastal defense ships built.
