This plane may not be a replica as I used two sets of blueprints and every plane is slightly different!

TO START ENGINE THROTTLE TO 100% AND PRESS 1
it drifts to the side a bit caused by an uneven fuselage but that adds realistic landings into the plane making it even harder and more realistic to fly :)
I also recommend low settings

HISTORY
in the First World War Italy rarely produced its own fighters and those rare ones were prototypes and paper designs, they used British and French fighters at the start of the war and this, was the first Italian fighter arriving just too late to see any real service with the Italian Air Force, it was given the name Balilla after an Italian folk hero who was a kid that threw a stone at some dictator and started a war...

When it was first ordered it was used for home defence due to poor agility compared to the French fighters and British fighters,
The only confirmed Italian kill using this plane was a Hungarian recon plane...not very impressive ehh?

Alas it's story doesn't end there, in 1919 Poland bought a load, unfortunately all were destroyed in the war between Russia and Poland, Poland ordered 25 more and was licensed to produce 100 in their own factories, these polish versions were heavier and had engine and structural faliures....

But, it doesn't end yet! In 1922 the White Russian army ordered 30 of them that patrolled unarmed around kharkov and later the Baltic and Black Sea in 1928 in the winter war between Finland and Russia they were re equipped with skis and did some useful spotting work and some attempted strafing runs (that was in 1942!!!)

Going back to 1921 Latvia ordered 13 aircraft, they were different due to the insulator over the engine coweling and extra insulation in the cockpit to keep out the cold.

They were also sent to the U.S. Where Eddie rickenbacker set a speed record in one, they also sold them to Mexico South America Canada and Argentina,

Unfortunately Ansaldo gave up on this plane and the company was absorbed into fiat.

Overall it was pretty terrible, but it was also something else, beautiful, reliable and named after a kid that started a war, can't get better than that ehh?
